Changing Tides PaddleCraft offers kayak, canoe and SUP (standup paddle board) instruction and training in Connecticut and New York. We are proud that our Instructors are trained and Certified by the American Canoe Association - the benchmark for paddling Instruction in North America. Together our staff span a broad range of paddling disciplines from flat to moving water in coastal and river environments. We bring depth of experience and love of the outdoors to the art of building your paddling skills. We work with key local organizations to schedule paddlesport lessons that are accessible to all paddlers in our region.
Our 2017 Schedule is still under development. We encourage you to check back through the Spring as we add our Summer dates. Our Fall dates will begin to solidify during the summer. If you are looking for a particular class we encourage you to contact us to find out what is in the planning stages.
Training Locations: except when we schedule winter pool classes, we generally hold classes in a variety of natural waters at various locations where conditions are appropriate to the skills we are teaching. Locations change depending on class class level the season and the demographic we are serving. Use the directions below to navigate to directions for our frequently used locations.
Our fees can vary depending on the length and size of the class, the degree of travel involved and amount of preparation and clean-up work that is needed. We try to make training as affordable as possible, witness the fact that our rates have stayed fairly constant over time while costs have continued to rise.
The following schedule of standard fees for Changing Tides PaddleCraft are offered for reference only. Prices may vary for
individual and custom classes and discounts may be offered for clients taking a series of classes. Clubs and shops should consult
with us on organizational rates. Individuals may want to consider our skills circle program for cost effective training.
